I’ve wanted to visit Quebec for over 15 years. I’d even been approved as a professional immigrant. But life led me to Norway. Finally, I got the chance to visit. Montreal blends British and French culture perfectly. It’s easy to get around by foot and public transit. Its walkable, connected neighborhoods make it a cinch to explore.

Day 4 – Souvenir hunting, shopping, some crepes.

CANADIAN – Our guide aka my sister’s good friend Paula, took us to this store selling very original, cool souvenirs. Highly recommended.

JEWELRY – This is another great recommendation by my sister’s friend. Pilgrim’s designs, offers beautiful handmade jewelry rooted in Danish minimalism and crafted with care.

CREPES AND MORE –  For a charming bite near Notre‑Dame Basilica, stop by Maison Bagatelle—a cozy café tucked away in Old Montreal. This hidden gem features Victorian-style furniture and a warm, welcoming vibe.

We were able to join a guided tour at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to learn about mummification. This way you can delve into ancient Egyptian culture, as well as others around the world and learn more about each object.

  • Shop at Winners and Dollarama

Not everyone is into shopping, but if you are, these 2 stores are located in a mall in Montreal’s underground city.
